Silver-catalyzed enantioselective functionalizations of alkenes and alkynes: A short review

نویسندگان

چکیده

Transition metal-catalyzed asymmetric transformations of alkenes and alkynes can upgrade readily available unsaturated compounds to valuable building blocks for organic synthesis. Late transition metals supported by ligands, particularly palladium, rhodium, iridium, have traditionally been employed enantioselective functionalization alkynes, but these precious are costly. Silver is a much less expensive late metal with good Lewis acidity that accommodate diverse ligands coordination geometries. Silver(I) complexes also capable engaging in non-covalent interactions drive selectivity reactions at both the bond, as well an adjacent activated allylic or propargylic C–H bond. This short review summarizes recent developments silver-catalyzed alkene-containing alkyne-containing compounds. Direct alkene/alkyne π bond described, examples where site unsaturation drives

Gold(I)-catalyzed enantioselective carboalkoxylation of alkynes.

A highly enantioselective carboalkoxylation of alkynes catalyzed by cationic (DTBM-MeO-Biphep)gold(I) complexes is reported. Various optically active β-alkoxyindanone derivatives were obtained in good yields with high enantioselectivities. Furthermore, this methodology was extended to the enantioselective synthesis of 3-methoxycyclopentenones. The reaction is proposed to proceed through an enan...

Silver‐Catalyzed Stereoselective Aminosulfonylation of Alkynes

A silver-catalyzed intermolecular aminosulfonylation of terminal alkynes with sodium sulfinates and TMSN3 is reported. This three-component reaction proceeds through sequential hydroazidation of the terminal alkyne and addition of a sulfonyl radical to the resultant vinyl azide. The method enables the stereoselective synthesis of a wide range of β-sulfonyl enamines without electron-withdrawing ...

Cationic palladium-catalyzed hydrosilylative cross-coupling of alkynes with alkenes.

A cationic palladium complex-catalyzed cross-coupling of alkynes with alkenes is presented, which occurs selectively under the hydrosilylation conditions using trichlorosilane. The unique reaction might be well understood in terms of an initial hydropalladation of a given 1-alkyne to form regioselectively a 1-alkenylpalladium species, which, in turn, undergoes easily and specifically an alkene ...

Highly regio- and enantioselective multiple oxy- and amino-functionalizations of alkenes by modular cascade biocatalysis

New types of asymmetric functionalizations of alkenes are highly desirable for chemical synthesis. Here, we develop three novel types of regio- and enantioselective multiple oxy- and amino-functionalizations of terminal alkenes via cascade biocatalysis to produce chiral α-hydroxy acids, 1,2-amino alcohols and α-amino acids, respectively. Basic enzyme modules 1-4 are developed to convert alkenes...

Cobalt-catalyzed reductive coupling of activated alkenes with alkynes.

Cobalt complex/Zn systems effectively catalyze the reductive coupling of activated alkenes with alkynes in the presence of water to give substituted alkenes with very high regio- and stereoselectivity in excellent yields. While the intermolecular reaction of acrylates, acrylonitriles, and vinyl sulfones with alkynes takes place in the presence of CoI2(PPh3)2/Zn, the reaction of enones and enals...
